ShamSul Alam, the new Chairman and Mahbubul Alam made MD of Walton
The country's electronics giant Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC listed in the engineering sector in the capital market has appointed SM Shamsul Alam as Chairman, SM Ashraful Alam as Vice-Chairman and SM Mahbubul Alam as Managing Director (MD). Each of them is one of the founder directors of the company.
They were appointed at the 35th board meeting of Walton Hi-Tech Industries on Saturday. This appointment will be effective from October 14, 2023.
Walton Hi-Tech's newly appointed Chairman SM Shamsul Alam, Vice-Chairman SM Ashraful Alam and Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam are successful entrepreneurs in the electrical and electronics industry of the country.
He was instrumental in Walton's rapid growth as a senior director. Their creative and innovative leadership in the electrical and electronics industry has contributed significantly to making Walton a global brand by expanding its international business to more than 40 countries around the world. Under their supervision, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC was officially listed on Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange on September 14, 2020.
The new board hopes to make Walton one of the world's top five global brands by 2030.
Earlier, Golam Murshed resigned from the position of Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, on October 10. He got the appointment of Managing Director from Additional Managing Director (AMD) on October 8, 2020. There are reports that after serving as Managing Director for three years, he may start his own business. However, this could not be confirmed.
